Finance department of a CAC 40 group
One single truth for treasury
Replace each country's Excel files with a multi-entity treasury management application.
- Service
- Business applications
Context
The finance department of a CAC 40 group. Every month, the finance managers in each country report their cash position.
The problem
Reporting goes through Excel: everyone has their own file, everyone their own currency. On day 3, four “version 2” files arrive. Two get merged in, two fall through the cracks. Six months later, nobody agrees on the figures.
What we built
A multi-entity treasury management application:
- a single entry form, with automatic currency conversion;
- a “Submit” button that locks the entry;
- an explicit unlock by the director;
- every entry versioned: who, what, when;
- the campaign launch, with everyone notified at the same time;
- comments to explain variances;
- ERP data loaded automatically;
- Teams notifications;
- dashboards of balances and forecasts.
Result
One single version. The question “which version?” no longer exists.
For your IT team: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, Dataverse
- Hosting: inside your Microsoft 365. If an outside tool is useful, it is named and you decide.
- Accounts: a service account of your own for the automations.
- Permissions: inherited from your Microsoft 365 groups, nothing separate to maintain.
- Licenses: announced before we start, with the exact cost.
- Handover: documentation, user guide, quick reference; no proprietary code.
A process that costs you too much? An Excel file that has outgrown itself? A team losing time?
